First of all, allow me to say that we have been living in the end times ever since Jesus was taken up in the air, and we must always be ready for the second coming.

Tuesday marks the first of four lunar “blood moons,”  that will occur tonight from around 12:53 a.m. EDT (0453 GMT) to about 6 a.m. EDT. According to NASA lunar eclipse expert Fred Espenak, this will all be visible over the United States this year and next.

Texas televangelist pastor John Hagee has delivered several messages on the eclipse, and stated that the four blood moons could begin a fulfillment of the End Times prophecy.

Hagee has cited Acts 2:19-20 where it states, “And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.”

He believes that the event is particularly meaningful for Israel, revealing that previous tetrads, in 1492, 1948 and 1967, go along with such events as the expulsion of Jews from Spain at the end of the Inquisition, statehood for Israel, and the Six-Day War.

Matthew 24:36 states, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father,” meaning that no one, including Jesus, knows when the second coming with take place. Only God knows; however, the Bible also discusses the signs of the ‘end times,’ and the ‘blood moon’ is mentioned.
Jesus could come back tomorrow. He could come back next year. He could come any time God commands. The point is that we must always be ready.
