Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and other Democrats can call Obamacare by it’s official term, “The Affordable Care Act,” until they are blue in the face, but it won’t prevent it from being recognized as “Obamacare,” said former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R).
“It’s causing sticker shock in a variety of states,” Gingrich declared Sunday, during a panel discussion on CNN’s State of the Union show. “They can call it the Affordable Care Act all they want to. It cost the Democrats the House in 2010, [and it will cost] the Democrats the Senate in 2014 and the presidency in 2016.”
Last week, Pelosi attacked a reporter during a press conference for calling the act “Obamacare” instead of the Affordable Care Act. It appears that democrats are trying to free themselves from blame of another failed program that was consistently promoted by their party.
