Chris Hayes: The Government Shutdown is the Constitution’s Fault

Chris Hayes, the host of the MSNBC show “All In,” blamed the United States Constitution for the government shutdown.

“The political disfunction that has brought about the shutdown and now threatens default, isn’t so much gridlock. It is exposing the fatal flaw in our Constitution and highly distinct system of government. In other words, it’s the Constitution’s fault. Something truly catastrophic was bound to happen sooner or later.”

 

So, rather than holding the President responsible for refusing to compromise, Hayes believes that the Constitution, a document that has worked for over 200 years, should be held responsible.
